Research and Development (R&D) is a fundamental pillar for this path in search of Sustainability that we make in ATARFIL. This continuous improvement is one of the values on which we rely, by preventing pollution, conserving natural resources, reducing operating costs over time and minimizing environmental impact with materials with the maximum possible durability.
Sustainability is not a new concept, we have been taking care for more than 25 years to bring sustainability not only to our processes, but also to our products, being aware of the environmental impact of the engineering works where our materials are used.

What are Atarfil’s sustainable development objectives?

Positive impacts of our initiative
At Atarfil we have the carbon footprint certification from the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition, which recognizes our environmental commitment. We calculate, reduce and offset our greenhouse gas emissions, moving towards sustainable management. The certification seal reflects this progress in three stages: “I calculate”, “I reduce” and “I compensate”.

2022 was the base year for our emissions, which were 108.42g CO2/kg manufactured.
Compensation
Installation of solar panels and consumption of clean energies such as wind and hydroelectric power.
Reduction
Significant reduction of our footprint, achieving the 2023 seal, being 96.07gr CO2/kg manufactured.
