Waterproofing geocomposite formed by a layer of sodium bentonite confined between two geotextiles, usually the lower one being woven and the upper one non-woven, transversely perforated between them. It is characterized by its self-sealing capacity once in contact with liquid media, having an expansive capacity to seal cracks by itself, being used mainly in the confinement of hazardous substances, as a secondary containment element to seal eventual perforations of the Geomembrane as a primary barrier.
