Atarfil lights the way to Energy Sustainability with its 1,000 Kwp Solar Power Plant
Atarfil takes a giant step towards a more sustainable future!
We are proud to announce an exciting sustainability project we have undertaken this year at our plant in Spain. At Atarfil, we have always considered it our responsibility to take care of the planet, and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to inform you that we have taken an important step in the direction of a cleaner and more sustainable future: All the energy consumed in our plant during 2022 will come from renewable energy sources!
Renewable Energy for a Better World:
Our investment in renewable energy is a testament to our commitment to the environment and a reflection of our vision for a more sustainable world. This June, we inaugurated our 1,000 kWp solar plant, equipped with the latest solar panel technologies, which extends over more than 9,500m2 of rooftop at our headquarters in Atarfe, Granada.
The Positive Impacts of Our Initiative:
Our conversion to solar energy will have a significant impact on reducing our company’s carbon footprint:
Reduction of CO2 emissions: With this investment, we will reduce the emission of 532,041 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year. This is an important step towards improving air quality and mitigating climate change.
A lung of trees: The amount of CO2 we are reducing is equivalent to the effort of planting more than 25,650 trees, which are essential for carbon sequestration and the preservation of our environment.
Less dependence on oil: Our production will avoid the extraction of 120 tons of oil per year, which will contribute to reducing the demand for fossil fuels and to the conservation of natural resources.
